New Book - SOA Patterns with BizTalk 2009

     Hi All,

Richard Seroter has recently released his new book "SOA Patterns with BizTalk 2009" (http://www.packtpub.com/soa-patterns-with-biztalk-server-2009/book).

    Couple of things:

    1. Has anyone read it and got any thoughts on the book.  Ive just started reading it and thought it might be good to collect feedback here.

    2. Ive been speaking to the publisher of the book and they have offered us a 15% discount for user group members.  If you would like to take up this offer then please drop me an email, we should have the discount code within a few days

    3. The publisher is also going to send us a few free copies.  I think we will get 3 so I intend to raffle off 2 of them.  Send me an email if you would like to be included in the raffle.  I will announce the winners in the next newsletter.

    4. Im speaking to Richard about possibly joining us via Live Meeting at an SBUG event sometime soon.  Ill send details out once this has been organised, but at this event we will give away the other copy of the book for the best question asked.  So prepare some good questions.

To contact me about any of this email address as usual is michael_stephensonuk@yahoo.co.uk

Re: New Book - SOA Patterns with BizTalk 2009

     Hi Michael,

I was searching for the BizTalk Patterns Books and found this interesting book, I have read couple of chapters. I particular liked the ESB Guidance, it gives very good introduction to ESB and SOA capabilities of BTS 2009. I have gone through may websites for ESB introduction, but this book explains the concepts very well. I would definitely recommend this book, if someone is looking for introduction to ESB Guidance, WCF adapters and SOA capabilities of BTS 2009.

    Cheers

    Siva
