Dev Track: Next Session Topic

Hi Guys,

I'm canvassing for a presentation to be run in the Dev Track session at the next meeting.

Mike Stephenson's got a couple of proposals, and I have one myself:

• Testing with BizTalk (Mike)
• Continuous Integration and MSBuild with BizTalk solutions (Mike)
• Automation: Generating for Quality and Productivity (me).

If anyone's got anything else to offer or request, can you flag it up here?

Then I'll set up a poll, and ask the winner to present in September.

We've had a couple of requests to talk about ESB Guidance, so I'm proposing to present on that for the October session.

It'll have a development focus, so the agenda will be something like:

• Overview of ESB Guidance
• Implementation case study
• Community tools available
• Quick demo integrating systems with ESBG
• Discussion on different ESBG experiences

I'm currently looking to improve BizTalk build, test and deployment procedures at Tesco so I'd be very keen to attend a presentation on the subjects Mike proposed. I've just started using Mike's MSBuild script generator, hopefully I'll be able to share my results by the time of the meeting.

Elton has got me lined up to do some future sessions on both testing and build/deployment process.  I think more interested was expressed this time in the ESB stuff and it fits well with what Morris will talk about BizTalk 09.

In the meantime checkout my blog as ive loads of stuff on there about both subjects (http://geekswithblogs.net/michaelstephenson), and we can always chat at the event if you want to discuss these topics.

Good stuff - doing a gap analysis on the ESB stuff vs what we do here at EMI is something which is on my pile but never made it to the top. This might give me the push I need :)

We use Scott Colestock's deployment framework for all our stuff so it will be good to see a demo of the MSBuild stuff Mike.
