     Hi,

As I posted on the thread titled the MS RoadMap, here are some important things re: the ESB Guidance V2. Please refer to that post for the rest of the stuff i wrote, if you want.

    (1) ESB v2 will NOT be a part of the core product v2009 and will not be included in the install.  (Yes, the press release etc are not very clear on this point). The install will be separate (and there are efforts to make it much simpler than it is currently)

    (2) It is still considered a separate offering from Patterns & Practices (and will be on CodePlex). take a look at the P&P roadmap here (which also indicates that it will only be released in June 2009, a full 6 months after BTS 2009 RTM .

    (3) There wont be the official "product support" that we see with BizTalk but there will be much more support available. More information will be available soon as to what this means in practice and what other support channels will be available for adopters/partners.

    (4) The BTS product documentation will make references to the ESB Guidance to increase its visibility and 'promote' its adoption

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Rgds

Thanks for that Benjy, useful stuff although I'd be keen to see how it looks in practice.

For anyone who felt they missed out on the demonstration that didn't happen in the session, I've uploaded it to the MSDN Code Gallery. There's an overview of what the samples contain and how it fits together here:ESB Guidance Demonstration: "TriathlonResults".
